Miss Weir is running a gardening club with primary 3’s to 7’s. The boys and girls have been digging up the old plants from last year and are hoping to plant brand new flowers next week.

The boys and girls are also hoping to plant a vegetable patch later in the year during the warmer weather. They have been using new gardening equipment such as gloves, trowels, shovels and compost.

The plants and flowers will need to be watered and cared for at least once a week which will help them to grow. Fallon from Primary 4 said “So far we have found a slug!” Lauren from Primary 7 stated “We have found a few bugs; I found a centipede and a woodlouse!” Caitlin from Primary 7 said “We could do with some weed killer to get rid of the weeds from last year!”
